East Tennessee Bluegrass Association Monthly Jam
When: Every 3rd Sunday: Apr. 16-Sep.17, 2023
Where: Mead’s Quarry
If you’ve lived in Knoxville for any stretch of time, you can probably think of at least one bluegrass tune. However, if you are new to the area or moving to Knoxville soon, it’s important to know that bluegrass music is rooted deep into East Tennessee’s history, and you will hear it at festivals and in shops and restaurants around town. Rossini Festival

Where: Downtown Knoxville
For 20 years, Rossini Festival has taken over the streets of Downtown Knoxville to celebrate East Tennessee’s culture. During the event, you can enjoy non-stop live musical performances in a variety of genres. Expect to hear opera, gospel, chamber, and choral music on the four stages at the festival. Dogwood Arts Festival
When: Apr. 28-30, 2023
Where: World’s Fair Park
Dogwood Arts Festival has been a part of Knoxville since 1961 and celebrates the community’s local artisans and musicians. You can listen to a variety of live music as you explore the artist booths, check out the food vendor menus and participate in festival activities. Learn more.
Concerts on the Square: Jazz Tuesdays & Variety Thursdays
When: Every Tuesday starting May 2, 2023 & Every 3rd Thursday starting May 18, 2023
Where: Market Square
The City of Knoxville hosts live concerts in Market Square throughout the spring and summer seasons. Enjoy jazz every Tuesday and switch it up with variety music every 3rd Thursday. Make sure to bring your lawn chairs, so you can sit comfortably during the concert. You may also want to have dinner beforehand or order takeout from one of the nearby restaurants to enjoy during the concert. Learn more.
Second Saturday Concerts at the Cove
When: Concord Park
Where: Every 2nd Saturday: May 13 – Aug. 12, 2023
Pack your blanket and lawn chairs and enjoy monthly live concerts at Concord Park. Hosted by Knox County Park and Recreation, this event is a great way to discover local musicians. Sit and enjoy the tunes, walk the park trails and play with your kids on the playgrounds. Learn more.
